The sheer size of this kit is the first thing you notice, and the fact it’s based on the real Union Pacific giants makes it feel like a piece of history. I spent a solid weekend on the frame assembly, and the parts fit together so cleanly that the detail on the boiler alone is worth the price.

The assembly process let me really appreciate the boiler's intricate piping and the tender's decal work. It runs smoothly on my layout and the die-cast frame gives it a satisfying heft. A fantastic tribute to these Union Pacific giants.
