Saab JAS-39C Gripen

I was impressed by the accuracy of the landing gear and cockpit details right out of the box. The decal sheet includes multiple Swedish Air Force markings, which adds great variety to the build. It fits together cleanly with minimal sanding needed.

The canopy is crystal clear and fits flush without any sanding, which is rare at this scale. The decals for the Swedish roundels went on thin and settled nicely over the panel lines. Took me about three evenings to complete, and it looks sharp on the shelf next to my other jets.

The panel lines are crisp and recessed, making weathering much easier than on some other kits I’ve built. It captures the Gripen’s delta-canard shape well, though a few of the smaller decals were a bit finicky. For the price and detail level, it’s a solid addition to any modern aircraft collection.
