Background information

The Bristol Beaufighter MK.VI established itself as one of the RAF's most feared night fighters from 1941 onwards. With its powerful Hercules engines and improved aerodynamics thanks to the modified horizontal stabilizer, the MK.VI variant proved particularly successful in the Mediterranean and the Pacific. The RAAF successfully used the "Beau", as she was affectionately known, in reconnaissance missions and attacks on Japanese ships.
