When Ford introduced the Bronco in 1965, off-road racing was a logical way to promote the truck. Broncos were used in Baja 500 and Mexican 1000 races in connection with Bill Stroppe races. And after winning those two events, Ford offered specially designed Baja Broncos in 1971, available only at select dealers.

Natalie E. ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by the detail on the engine and suspension, given it's only 137 pieces. The instructions were clear enough for a first-time model builder like me, and the finished 16.2cm length looks great on my shelf.

The 137 pieces went together cleanly over a weekend, and the finished 16.2cm length fits perfectly on my desk. The off-road racing roots really come through in the design.

The 1/25 scale is spot on — the Bronco’s boxy lines look even better up close, and at 16.2cm it’s got a nice heft on the shelf. Assembly took me a relaxed evening with the 137 parts, and the fit was clean with no forcing.
