The heavily armed P-47 was the heaviest single-seat fighter aircraft of World War II. The P-47M was the final production variant and was used by the USAAF's famous 56th Fighter Squadron.

The decal sheet includes markings for the 56th Fighter Squadron, which is a nice touch for history buffs. Fit was surprisingly tight for a model kit in this price range, requiring very little filler on the wing roots.
