Background information

The NH90 NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter) was developed specifically for naval use and represents the maritime version of the successful NH90 program. This 2011 version is based on the helicopter, which has been in use with various NATO navies since 2006. Its main task is submarine hunting from frigates, with the integrated sonar and torpedoes being its most important tools.
