I was surprised at how detailed the engine block is — you can even see the leaf springs on the front axle. The white metal parts give it a nice heft on the shelf.

The decal sheet includes markings for Caracciola's 1931 record car, which really makes this model stand out. Fit and finish are excellent, and the wheels attach securely without glue. I’m thrilled with how crisp the molding is for such a vintage racer.

The engine detail alone—7.1 liters pushing 300 hp—makes this model feel like a real piece of racing history, not just a toy. The Caracciola story adds a nice touch that makes me want to display it front and center.
